Itinerary
Labuan Bajo - Sebayor Island
We depart Labuan Bajo harbour around midday to cruise to Sebayur.
Here guests can do some excellent snorkelling or diving to kick off the first day. There is a lagoon above the reef with pretty coral gardens, colourful fish and so much more.
This is where we will spend our first night and if we get the chance, we will set up a barbecue on the beach to welcome our guests with the first sunset of their adventure ahead.
Rinca Island - Komodo Dragons - Gili Lawa Darat
Depending on the tides we will head to Rinca island either early in the morning, or late during the night before. Rinca Ranger Station and Komodo island are the only places where these fascinating giant lizards live. Guests can go on a 2 hour guided walk through the national park and see the dragons in their natural habitat. If you’re lucky, you might even see deer, monkeys and wild buffalo’s.
Gili Lawa Darat, on the eastern point of the bay is a beautiful diving and snorkelling site which is often full of diverse marine life. In the afternoon guests have the choice to relax onboard or if they’re up for it, it’s possible to go on a short hike to watch the sunset from a higher point. Please listen to the crew when they say it’s time to go home as the tides can go down quickly.
Gili Lawa Laut - Kanawa Island
One of the most splendid sights in the park is Gili Lawa Laut; a beautiful bay with crystal clear water and white sandy beaches. Here we will spend the day. Some of the best dive sites are located around here.
For ocean lovers you will want to explore the Crystal bommie off Gili Lawa Laut. It is an undersea mountain that just reaches the surface and attracts huge numbers of predatory fish. In the summit lays a coral garden that is one of the best in Indonesia. In the channel south of the island manta rays are often spotted!
In the afternoon we’ll head to Kanawa Island, which is one of the area’s greatest treasures with pristine beaches.
Kanawa Island - Labuan Bajo
Between Kanawa and Labuan Bajo, lays many beautiful small islands. When we make our way back to Labuan Bajo, we will make a stop at one or two of the islands according to the wind and tides for a visit, swim, snorkel or dive.
Guests will disembark the boat in Labuan Bajo Harbour. We will arrive depending on when and if guests need to catch a flight in the morning. Time of check out really depends on the schedule of our guests. You are welcome to check out any time before sunset.
Labuan Bajo has a thriving little sea port that has a unique charm to it with the many traditional boats parked around. There are some nice restaurants where you can find western food and hotels with great views. The airport is a 10 minute drive from the harbour and if you need a taxi to be arranged don’t hesitate to ask the crew to help.
4 Day + 5 night option
During the 5 day + 4 night Komodo Cruise option, you’ll have the chance to explore Padar island and the Pink Beach. We will moor near this unique beach, made up of crushed red coral giving it a pink color. On Padar Island there are some spectacular short hikes one can do to find great views. The snorkeling here is quite remarkable, some truly wonderful coral gardens, and there is a coral bommie that attracts fish by thousands.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to unexpected weather circumstances the proposed route can alter without prior notice. Especially programs around the Komodo islands as the currents are very strong and our schedule depends on the tides.
